So high on the triumph of my first ever seitan meat replacer recipe I tried another one. This one was for smokies. My husband loves smokies and they are about the worst thing he could possibly eat as he changes his diet post-heart attack. On the other hand, vegan smokies are pretty darn awesome. I didn't have any liquid smoke and I'm hesitant to add it anyway as in the past it's triggered migranes for me, regardless, they turned out fabulous. Not incredibly different from the italian sausages I made earlier but these had a texture that I liked better and I added more heat to the spice mix for these, which I liked alot.
Tomorrow I want to try a completely different type of meat and I'm going to give deli turkey breast a try. I'll update with pictures and a review once I'm done.
